Singer Oritse Femi has claimed that some Lagos “slay queens” who mock him on social media are unknowingly living in houses he owns.
The singer made the statement during a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, where he spoke about his properties and how he has quietly invested in real estate.
According to Oritse Femi, some of the women who regularly make fun of him online are tenants in properties he purchased from their former landlords.
“Most of these Lagos slay queens that come on social media to make mockery of me don't even know I'm the current landlord of the houses they are living in. I bought those houses from their former landlords,” he said.
The singer’s claim has sparked reactions online, with social media users discussing his comments about wealth, property ownership and the importance of investing privately rather than constantly displaying one’s achievements online.
Oritse Femi is known for hits including “Mr Gomina” and “Double Wahala” and has remained active in the Nigerian music industry over the years.
